Dafeng Zhang
About Me
I am a Senior Algorithm Researcher and Technical Expert at Samsung Research China - Beijing (SRC-B), where I lead projects in mobile visual intelligence. My work spans image and video restoration and enhancement, image generation, visual representation learning, and face and pet clustering and recognition. I take algorithms from design and training through validation and on-device deployment; several of my team's algorithms are now used in Samsung Galaxy flagship devices. I have published as a first or lead author at NeurIPS, ICCV, ICASSP, AAAI, and other venues. My teams have also earned multiple first-place finishes in CVPR workshop challenges.

- [Sep. 2026] Our two papers on image restoration and nighttime flare removal were accepted to NeurIPS 2026.
- [Mar. 2026] Our team took first place in the NTIRE 2026 Controllable Aperture Bokeh Rendering Challenge.
- [Sep. 2025] Our paper on face clustering was accepted to AAAI 2026.
- [Sep. 2025] Our papers on stereo image super-resolution and face aging were accepted to NeurIPS 2025.
- [Apr. 2025] Our team received the Winner Award in the NTIRE 2025 Image Super-Resolution (x4) Challenge.
- [Dec. 2024] Two of our papers on image and video understanding were accepted to ICASSP 2025.
- [Mar. 2024] Our team won first place in two tracks of the NTIRE 2024 Stereo Image Super-Resolution Challenge.
- [Jan. 2024] We organized the Nighttime Flare Removal Challenge for the 3rd MIPI Workshop at CVPR 2024.
- [Sep. 2023] Our papers received silver and bronze awards at the Samsung Best Paper Award (SBPA).
